This year the Sisters of the Good Shepherd begin a year of celebration to mark in 2007 the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the New York province. Their mission was to reach out to women in desperate need of help to find new direction in their lives. To mark the opening of this year-long celebration, the Auxiliary Bishop of Hartford, CT, Most Reverend Peter Rosazza, will offer the Eucharist at the Passionists' Holy Family Monastery in West Hartford on Sunday, September 17, at 11a.m. The sisters who have been making a retreat at the monastery to reflect on their mission of zeal, will be joined by sisters throughout the province, their co-workers, relatives and friends for the celebration.
